I met Katrina in Year 9, in 1993, when K started at Genazzano College.
Through K, I met her family, Rob and Jo, and Simon and later worked with them at Camp Ullamulla in Gembrook.
This experience led me to become involved in Summer Camps USA and I spent 3 summers working in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and Camp Oneka, a place that remains dear to me even now.
On returning to Australia, I decided to return to university and completed my Bachelor of Education (P-12) in 2008 and have worked doing relief teaching.
I played soccer and met my hot husband at the same club, and we have been married for 11 years and have two spunky girls; Phoebe, 7 and Matilda, 4.
I’m excited for the future of K’Sparkle and look forward to continuing the fabulous work achieved so far.
I have been impressed by the passion, focus and hard work performed by this charity. By being involved in K’Sparkle, I have been able to witness how smaller charities can make a large and meaningful impression on the recipients. This is very inspiring to myself and my family. In honouring Katrina’s memory this way, this charity has been able to literally make the world a better place for somebody.
