Our vision is to assist in the development of safer healthier communities, foster personal and community capacity and enhance kids safety.

Katrina’s Sparkle was founded by her family as a legacy to the life she lived – one of laughter, fun, passion, adventure, travel, integrity, profound love of family and a deep professional concern for the well being and safety of others.

Katrina’s Sparkle will ensure that we, her family and friends, will keep her spirit alive and her memory shining brightly by creating opportunities to come together and make some dreams possible based on the values she held in such high regard.

What we do to:

  • Work with community sector organisations to provide basic first aid training, family support and and courses that enhance health literacy.
  • Support youth ambassadorial/scholarship programs
  • Advance social and workplace responsibility
  • Assist with girls education
  • Provide funds for cancer research

Ksafekids has undertaken a partnership with playgroup Victoria to assist in the enhancement of kids safety across Victoria.

In an initiative, currently based in specific regions, the aim of the program is to empower community and enhance competence to help create a safer environment for children.

This mission is hoped to be achieved through the delivery of 2 hour safety session that focused on the delivery of basic skills and knowledge relating to what to do in a first aid emergency.

Ksafekids is proud to announce that we have undertaken an ongoing commitment to this program and through various funding streams will continue to provide subsidized kids safety sessions to clients of playgroup Victoria.

After successfully running a small unofficial pilot project, Ksafekids will continue our relationship with Family Life, with the aim of continuing to enhance capacity in the space of kids first aid.  The pilot included Ksafekids donating and running in excess of 30 courses for clients of Family Life, with a monetary value exceeding $20,000.

The program offered participants of the Circle of Security, Cradle to Kinder and Creating Longer Connections programs to partake in a 2 hour safety session that focused on the delivery of basic skills and knowledge relating to what to do in a first aid emergency. Ksafekids is proud to announce that we will continue to partner with Family Life and their clients to provide first aid training.

Ksafekids is proud to say it works in conjunction with and supports Dad’s Group Inc. For further information relating to the joint initiative programs please contact ksafekids.

(DGI) is a not-for- profit community organisation committed to connecting new Dads, thereby improving men’s health, preventing family violence and reducing isolation and suicide. We partner with sponsors, councils and community organisations, to start and support new Dads Groups in different suburbs, through events that allow new fathers to meet.

DGI was started by Tom and Kate Docking who discovered in 2014 there was limited to no support for new fathers at a national level. They designed a scalable program for new dads to connect with other local dads: a bit similar to mum’s groups.

You can find the current group locations on our website http://dadsgroup.org/find-dads-group/

DGI also work with councils, Maternal Child Health, and community organisations to enhance capacity within the organisation/council and local community, to engage new and expecting fathers through the DGI training programs
